Privacy Notice and Terms of Use.
How Goose Recruits SA collects, uses, and protects your personal information. Last updated: 12 June 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Goose Recruits (Pty) Ltd, trading as Goose Recruits SA (company registration number [TBC]). We are a recruitment agency specialising in household and childcare placements for private, royal and VIP families, both locally in South Africa and across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
We are based across three offices: Pretoria, Potchefstroom and Cape Town, South Africa.

This notice applies to all personal information processed through this website, including information submitted via our contact form and position application form.
2. What information we collect and why
When you use our contact form or apply for a position through this website, we collect the following personal information:
- Full name (required)
- Email address (required)
- Phone number (optional)
- A message or cover note (required for applications)
- Your CV, in PDF or Word format (required for position applications; optional for general enquiries)
- Enquiry type, so we can direct your enquiry to the right team
We collect this information solely for the following purposes:
- Assessing your suitability for current or future household, childcare, nursing or related positions
- Responding to general enquiries from prospective employer households or families
- Maintaining a pool of qualified candidates for positions that arise over time
We do not collect this information for marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making purposes.
The lawful basis for processing under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) is: your voluntary consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in conducting our business as a recruitment agency.
3. How we store and protect it
Your CV and personal information are stored on a private, cloud-based platform operated on our behalf by our platform provider, Business in a Day (a trading name of DigiPhyte (Pty) Ltd, South Africa). See section 4 for more on this relationship.
The following technical and organisational measures are in place:
- CVs are stored in private object storage. They are never publicly accessible. Access is via signed, expiring links generated on demand for authorised users only.
- All access to submitted documents and personal information is logged and audited.
- Access is limited to Goose Recruits SA staff and, where strictly necessary, authorised platform personnel.
- Data is stored in the European Union on infrastructure that meets applicable data protection standards.
While no system is entirely without risk, we take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:
Prospective employer households
If you are a candidate and we believe you may be suitable for a specific position, we may share your CV and relevant personal information with the prospective employer household. We will do this only when you have been shortlisted for a role, and we will make you aware before doing so.
Platform provider (data processor)
Business in a Day (DigiPhyte (Pty) Ltd) operates the platform that powers this site and processes submitted information on our behalf, under a data processing agreement. They act only on our instructions and do not use your information for their own purposes.
Other service providers
We may share limited information with other trusted service providers, such as email delivery services, who assist us in running our business. All such providers are required to process your information confidentially and only for the purposes we specify.
Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect our legitimate legal interests.
5. International transfers
Goose Recruits SA places candidates with households in the GCC (including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman). When a candidate is shortlisted for a GCC role, their information may be shared with a prospective employer in one of those countries.
In addition, the platform that powers this site stores submitted information on secure infrastructure located in the European Union (see the storage and security section above). Storing your information outside South Africa is itself a cross-border transfer.
South Africa's POPIA restricts the transfer of personal information outside South Africa unless an adequate level of protection is in place (section 72, POPIA). We handle such transfers by:
- Informing candidates before their information is shared internationally
- Sharing only the information reasonably necessary for the specific placement
- Requiring that receiving households treat candidate information in confidence
- Storing information only with processors who are contractually bound to protect it to a standard comparable to that required by POPIA

6. Your POPIA rights
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- Access: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: you may ask us to delete your information, subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it.
- Objection: you may object to processing of your information in certain circumstances.
- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, send a written request to admin@gooserecruits.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any event within 30 days.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforeg.org.za or email inforeg@justice.gov.za.
7. Retention
We retain your personal information, including your CV, for a period of [TBC] from the date of submission. After that period, your information is permanently deleted from our systems. Deletion events are recorded in a full audit log.
If you are placed in a role, we may retain information for longer as required for contractual or legal purposes, in line with applicable law.
You may request early deletion at any time by contacting admin@gooserecruits.com.
8. Cookies and analytics
This is a static website. We do not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or social media tracking pixels.
The site may set a small number of technical cookies strictly necessary for navigation and form submission. No personal information is stored in these cookies and they are not used to track you across other websites.
We do not currently use a third-party analytics service on this site. If this changes, this notice will be updated.

Positions listed on this site are subject to change or withdrawal at any time without notice. Submitting an application does not guarantee an interview, placement or employment. All placements are subject to the individual requirements of our clients.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, design and images, is the property of Goose Recruits (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our prior written consent.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Goose Recruits SA will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to draw them to your attention, for example by a notice on this page.
